The IT Business Analyst is responsible for performing moderately complex business process analysis to determine potential needs. Work with internal customers to identify changes or improvements to the functionality and efficiency of these processes. Document business requirements and develop associated artifacts. Recommend information technology solutions to meet business needs. Plan, develop and implement those solutions. Train employees on using new technology solutions.

Description:

Starting Pay: $79,920.59 ($38.42 / hr.)

Top Out Pay: $127,872.94 ($61.48 / hr.)

The IT Business Analyst plays a key role in bridging Sheriff's Office business needs with technology solutions. This position is responsible for analyzing processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to design and deliver effective systems and workflows. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of IT capabilities, ensuring that technology initiatives align with strategic goals and drive operational efficiency. This role supports continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, recommending enhancements, and ensuring high‑quality implementation of new features and solutions.  This position is required to work onsite with occasional telework opportunities.  
  • Perform moderately complex business process analysis to determine potential needs. Work with internal customers to identify changes or improvements to the functionality and efficiency of these processes. Identify, communicate and prioritize needs, improvement opportunities and potential solutions. 
  • Recommend information technology solutions to meet business needs. Plan, develop and implement those solutions. 
  • Train staff on new or existing software systems and office procedures. 
  • Document business requirements and develop associated artifacts. 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
