Types of Records Available
Incident reports document crimes, crashes, disturbances, and other calls for service investigated by deputies.
Available Reports Include:
- Traffic accident and crash reports
- Theft reports
- Vandalism reports
- Assault reports
- Domestic incident reports
- Trespass reports
- Burglary reports
- Property damage reports
Note:
Some reports may be restricted or redacted to protect ongoing investigations, victims, or witnesses.
Request via NextRequestBody worn camera footage requests require additional processing time and may be subject to redaction to protect privacy and ongoing investigations.
How to Request:

- Specify the date, time, and location of the incident
- Provide case number if available
Processing Time:
BWC requests typically require 10-15 business days for review, redaction, and delivery. Complex requests may take longer.

Location-based incident report searches are available for events that occurred prior to March 2018. These searches allow you to find incident reports associated with a specific address or area.

For Incidents March 2018 to Current:
Location searches for incidents dated March 2018 and later are handled by our regional dispatch center. Contact JEFFCOM 911(opens in new tab) directly for these requests.
Request via NextRequestJCSO released its final investigative report on May 15, 2000. Additional materials — including video recordings, 911/dispatch audio, and over a dozen sets of investigation documents — were subsequently digitized and made publicly available.
Records We Do NOT Maintain
The following records are not available from the Sheriff's Office. Please contact the appropriate agency:
- Dispatch records and location searches for incidents dated March 2018 to current — contact our regional dispatch center JEFFCOM 911(opens in new tab)
- Court records (contact the Colorado Judicial Branch)
- Criminal history records (contact the Colorado Bureau of Investigation)
- Sealed or expunged records
- Active investigation materials
- Juvenile records (restricted by law)

VitalCore Medical Records
Medical records for inmates treated by VitalCore at the detention facility.
Contact VitalCore directly or submit a HIPAA-compliant release form through the jail.
Animal Control Records
Animal bite reports, impound records, and licensing information.

Effective January 2, 2025 — The following fee schedule applies to all records requests:
Standard Fees
- Processing Fee $3.00
- Research, Retrieval & Redaction (First hour free)$40.00/hr
- Initial Deposit (Large requests or BWC)$40.00
- Materials: Record Hardcopy $0.25/page
- Materials: CD/DVD Disk $10.00/device
- Materials: Flash Drive (up to 32GB) $10.00/device
- Materials: Flash Drive (over 32GB) Request-specific
- Delivery: Postal Mail $3.00
