When to Report Online
You CAN report online if:
- The incident occurred in unincorporated Jefferson County
- The crime has already occurred (not in progress)
- There are no known suspects
- It is not an emergency
- No firearms were involved
- It was not a traffic accident
- You have a valid email address to receive your case number
Call dispatch instead if:
- A crime is in progress
- You know who committed the crime
- Anyone was injured
- A weapon was involved
- The victim is a juvenile
- A firearm was involved
- It was a traffic accident
- A vehicle was stolen/damaged
- A trailer was stolen/damaged
