When to Report Online

You CAN report online if:

  • The incident occurred in unincorporated Jefferson County
  • The crime has already occurred (not in progress)
  • There are no known suspects
  • It is not an emergency
  • No firearms were involved
  • It was not a traffic accident
  • You have a valid email address to receive your case number

Call dispatch instead if:

  • A crime is in progress
  • You know who committed the crime
  • Anyone was injured
  • A weapon was involved
  • The victim is a juvenile
  • A firearm was involved
  • It was a traffic accident
  • A vehicle was stolen/damaged
  • A trailer was stolen/damaged
