Video Visitation Options
The Jefferson County Detention Facility uses Securus Video Connect for all inmate visits. You can visit remotely from home or use on-site kiosks in the jail lobby.
Remote Video Visits (From Home)
Visit from your home using a computer, tablet, or smartphone through Securus Video Connect.
How to Get Started:
- Create an account at Securus Video Connect
- Request visitor access
- Schedule visits once approved
- Pay for sessions at time of scheduling
Remote Visit Hours (Daily):
- 8:10 AM – 10:30 AM
- 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM
- 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
- Available 7 days a week
- 30-minute sessions — unlimited remote visits available
- Must schedule a minimum of 24 hours in advance

On-Site Video Visits
Visit using video visitation terminals in the facility's visitation area. Schedule in advance through Securus.
On-Site Visit Hours (Daily):
- 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
- 1:10 PM – 4:30 PM
- 7:40 PM – 8:30 PM
- Must schedule at least 24 hours in advance
- Valid government-issued photo ID required for visitors 18 and older
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early and check in with the receptionist or deputy
- Visits end exactly 30 minutes after the scheduled start time
- If you arrive late, your visit time will be shortened

First Time Using Securus?
Registration is required before you can schedule visits. You'll need:
- Valid email address
- Government-issued photo ID for identity verification
- Inmate's name and ID number
- Payment method for visit fees (credit/debit card)
Visitation Regulations
ID Requirements
- Current photo ID required for all visitors 18 and older
- Jefferson County does NOT accept digital ID for visits
- ID must match the address and state of residence provided
Visitor Limits
- No more than 3 visitors at a time in the on-site visiting area
- 1, 2, or 3 on-site visits per week depending on inmate's jail classification
- 30-minute sessions; visits end exactly at the scheduled time
Dress Code
- Shirts and shoes are required
- No clothing representing criminal organizations
- No form-fitting, suggestive, or revealing garments
- No items exposing shoulders or extending above mid-thigh
Conduct & Prohibited Items
- No gifts or items may be exchanged during visitation
- No food or beverages
- Please be respectful and use clean language and inside voices
Privilege Revocation
Visitation privileges may be revoked through disciplinary action if inmates or visitors abuse visiting privileges, display any misconduct, or become a threat to safety and security.
Professional & Clergy Visits
Active attorneys may conduct contact visits during reasonable business hours after presenting their Colorado Bar Card and valid photo ID.
Attorney Investigators
Attorney investigators require authorization from the administrative sergeant for contact visits. Without authorization, attorney investigators are limited to non-contact visits only.
Attorneys, probation and parole officers, and law enforcement officials are considered professional visitors and may conduct contact visits during reasonable business hours after presenting proper credentials and identification.

Non-Contact Visits Only
- Clergy
- Bondsmen
Professional clergy are allowed non-contact, professional visits with their religious affiliate members. These visits do not count against an inmate's weekly personal visit allotment.
Requirements
- Call the chaplain's office before visiting to arrange approval of credentials
- Provide photo identification (valid driver's license or state ID card)
Restrictions
- Clergy are not allowed contact visits or to directly give an inmate any item, including those of a religious nature
- Clergy visitation privileges are not extended to an inmate's family members
