Publicly released records from the Columbine High School investigation.

Overview

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office released its final investigative report on the Columbine High School shooting on May 15, 2000. In the years that followed, digitized copies of all investigative files, documents, recordings, images, and drawings were made publicly available.

To access these records, please complete the request form below. Per Colorado Revised Statute 24-72-305.5, requestors must affirm that the records will not be used for the direct solicitation of business for pecuniary gain.

Released Documents




Some file types were converted for compatibility with Windows 10. All content remains the same.

Destroyed Evidence

All remaining Columbine evidence, including the "Basement Tapes," were destroyed in early 2011. These materials are no longer available for public request.
